The ski jumps

At last! The first cut of the spade is made and construction of the access road is underway! After years of negotiations, the renovation of the old, and construction of the new ski jumps has become a reality in Kandersteg!

Target: From the autumn of 2015 ski jumpers will once again be able to enjoy their sport on the modernised HS 106 "Lötschberg" jump, the HS 72 "Blüemlisalp" jump as well as on the HS 27 "Bire" ski jump. Ski jumps are being built here for both summer and winter use. The facilities will include a completely modern profile and ice lanes as well as snow machines. An amenities building with restaurant, fitness area, ski museum, office, and seminar and meeting rooms is also being built.
A second building will house the technical equipment.

In the future the ski jump will be used to host summer sports competitions and training camps for the regional squad, athletes from the Swiss Ski Association (Swiss Ski) and national teams. The area will also be used for events in the fields of sports and culture.
